Thank you for the thought-provoking editorial in the November issue of the American Journal of Critical Care. I truly believe that it takes many components to be an excellent nurse, starting with a strong educational platform. Other necessary components are a variety of nursing experiences and, of course, a strong ambition to always learn more and keep the skills you already have sharp.
