We would like to thank Dr Blaney for his letter and agree we should have stated that the findings were not statistically significant. In addition, we apologize for the confusion regarding the statistically nonsignificant time to defibrillation results in Gilligan’s article,1  as the results do clearly state that the nurses were slower than the other 2 groups. We appreciate this opporunity to call attention to the oversights.
