B is for Balance was written by 4 nurses and a holistic psychologist with the goal to focus on the concept of “balance” specifically for nurses and other health care providers. The subtitle of the book is “A nurse’s guide for enjoying life at work and at home.” Although many health care providers can focus on the need for patients to achieve balance to improve their health, it is not a concept that is put into practice for and by the providers themselves. Achieving balance for health care providers is often a situation of “do as I say, not as I do.”

The book is divided into 2 sections: Balancing Without Acting and Finding and Keeping Balance. The first section covers the process of simplifying your life while the second section addresses the areas in which you attempt to achieve balance.
