The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Spanish-language Web site, www.ahrq.gov/consumer/espanoix.htm, now includes a monthly online health advice column for Spanish-speaking consumers. The column provides evidence-based tips on health, safe and appropriate use of medications, ways to get better health care, and other key health care issues. This Web site includes more than 35 consumer guides on health care quality, surgery, health conditions and diseases, quitting smoking, and understanding health insurance options.

The Joint Commission has revised the 2010 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs), and some changes are effective immediately. The revision of the NPSGs, which are available on The Joint Commission Web site, was made partly to address concerns that the resources needed to comply with these safety goals have become more detailed over time.
