I have been working in the surgical ICU at Toledo Hospital for 6 years, since my graduation from Bowling Green State University. I have now starting taking classes to pursue a master’s degree in nursing.

When I was 13 years old, my Grandfather became terminally ill after battling lung cancer and our family chose hospice to care for him. I was amazed at the care that the nurses provided him as well as the compassion and support they showed to my family. After seeing firsthand the difference that a nurse can make in the lives of their patients and families I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else.
