The AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care uses the concept of resiliency to describe the ability of patients to bounce back quickly after an insult. The Resilient Nurse addresses the needs of the caregiver to be able to bounce back after providing care to others. This book presents the idea that resilience is a skill that can be learned rather than a personality trait. Concepts and strategies are presented using stories, case studies, and reflective exercises. This book is of value to nurses at all levels of their career.
