Dear Deb is a testament to the power of words and friendship. Deb was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. Margaret had been a casual friend of Deb’s and reached out by writing her letters of support and encouragement. Within a short period, Deb’s diagnosis included brain cancer. At that time, Margaret’s letters changed and she began to share stories of her own personal fears and vulnerabilities, her loss and her loves. She wrote a total of 102 letters to Deb before Deb died. This book shares 55 powerful letters that demonstrate the healing power that sharing our stories has on both the story teller and on the recipient.
