James Kelly is a critical care nurse who shares a look inside the world of today’s intensive care unit (ICU) in his book Where Night Is Day. He takes the reader through the chaotic and high-energy flow of the ICU and provides his perspective on the relationship between physicians and nurses, various aspects of professional nursing, and the historical underpinnings of the profession. For those of us working in the ICU, the patients, families, situations, and nuances of our daily lives are easily recognizable in this book.
