Compact, well organized, and full of helpful graphics, this book is exactly as its title states: a quick reference. The book is divided into parts based on body system, which seemed logical, but the content within each part is organized in alphabetical order, which at first seemed strange. I was expecting the usual review of anatomy, followed by discussion of pathophysiology and appropriate interventions; that is, the usual flow of a text book. However, Quick Reference really is a quick reference and is structured to give a fast answer to a question. So if the information you need concerns the endocrine system, you can flip to that chapter and locate it based on alphabetical order.
