Those who followed Christine Schulman’s year as AACN president will recall her theme of “Guided by Why.” Simon Sinek’s book supports this theme by asking the question Why? to determine the purpose of your actions. Answering why may be more difficult than answering what you are doing. Start With Why is a small book with big concepts; it expands on Sinek’s TED talk and will be valuable to anyone examining his or her own reasoning and purpose, especially in pursuit of leadership roles.
