We thank the reader for her expressed interest in our 2 articles regarding our experience with the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s ICU Liberation ABCDEF Bundle Improvement Collaborative.1,2 Collectively, the nurses who coauthored the articles have decades of direct bedside experience in a variety of intensive care units (ICUs), specialty areas, and health care systems. As such, we fully appreciate the amount of “time, energy, and mental fortitude” that are necessary to deliver the ABCDEF bundle. As previously described,1–3 we fully agree with the reader that it is the bedside nurse who is primarily responsible for implementing the ABCDEF bundle in a safe and effective manner; in fact, that is the primary reason we chose to publish our work in Critical Care Nurse.
