Grit is a term I had not given much thought to until the National Teaching Institute 2019 in Orlando, Florida. AACN President, Megan Brunson, used grit to describe herself, her nursing colleagues, and the nursing community as a whole. Having nursing grit leads us to being unstoppable.

Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance is a great read for nurses who question why they keep coming back to nursing day after day. After hearing Megan graciously talk about her own grit, I started thinking about my nursing journey.
